In order for the co-op to offer the lowest prices possible on the highest quality foods, each member must contribute 3 hours/month toward the operations of the store.
This work on the part of all of our members accounts for nearly 70% of all overhead costs. As the store's sales volume grows, each member benefits individually from from the collective contributions of all other members. To this end, each contribution is important.
Currently, our members fulfill their work shift by cashiering, stocking, working in the membership office or doing maintenance. To further acquaint yourself with work shift opportunities please see our calendar for the next member orientation, or, if you have already attended a member orientation and just have questions, please contact us.
Training shifts are posted regularly in the store and schedule openings can be found by talking to someone in the membership office.
Member work shifts can be banked for future time off, so please inquire about our FTOP committee if you have an erratic schedule.
As we grow, the co-op work shifts will adapt to the priorities of the co-op membership and store operations.
